Salina:
So
i'm 13 years old and somewhere around 5 feet i really want to be a model but i
also am 106 lbs. Do you think that i should tighten up to be a model?
Mr. Agent:
Dear Salina,
It's a little hard to say what shape you are in from your description of
yourself. The main point is that at 13 years old in the general modeling world
a person is really starting to be considered an adult. Most standard modeling
agencies in the US will have 13 year olds that are 5' 9" or taller, and we
are talking about women here. At this point it would probably be better for you
to wait a few years and see how tall you grow. If you get above 5' 7" then
you can apply for print modeling at various agencies. If you are on the smaller
size of modeling then you can still go into promotional or tradeshow modeling,
or, acting - none of which have height requirements. As far as toning up this
is always a plus when seeing clients, they do not like flab.
